The class was divided into thirds and the first group met to discuss which items they would like to bring. These students brought notes home on Friday.
At 2:15 students will be heading out to recess and will have an opportunity to put on costumes, should they choose to do so. We will be parading with the rest of the school after recess.
If you would like to pick up your child after the parade (before the end of the school day), you may do so. I will be asking students to clean up the classroom before they may leave and will also ask you to sign them out on a sheet that I will provide. If you would like to have your child go home with another parent, I need to have a note stating that fact.
Below you’ll find Costume Parade information that was shared in last week’s Roosevelt Reporter.
Our costume parade will be next Wednesday, October 31.
The parade will start at 2:25 pm in the lower el. Wing. The parade will walk through each classroom, picking up classrooms as they go along.
As stated above, we’ll start in the west wing and then proceed to the ZQuest wing; then through the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade wing. The students walk out the back door and walk along the sidewalk right next to the building. We re-enter the building on the west end and drop classrooms off as we go through the building!
The best place to view the parade is outside on the lower el playground!
We ask that you DO NOT stand by the classroom doors, as that makes it too congested for the parade to get through the hallway.
Parents may come in to help their child get into their costumes and help with make-up if necessary. You may do this at the afternoon recess time — lower el is 2:00 to 2:15 and upper el is 2:15 to 2:30.
Students should NOT come to school with their costume and make up on!
