The past month has literally flown by. We've been quite busy. Here's a quick summary of what we're learning and working on.
We continue to read books at our just right levels but have been working hard paying attention to our thinking, sharing that thinking with others, and writing about that thinking. Each Friday we've been posting a "best thinking letter" on our Kidblog. You're welcome to read our letters. http://kidblog.org/PathfinderTeam-2/
We continue to work on our personal narrative writings. Over the past few weeks our minilessons have centered around making our writings better by adding good details and on revising and editing our pieces as we complete our drafts. We'll be publishing these to Kidblogs quite soon.
As you've probably seen in our homework, we've been working on multi-digit multiplication - first two digit by one digit and today we began three digit by one digit. Please help us make sure our multiplication facts are memorized. It makes our multiplication work go so much better for us!
We're wrapping up our unit on life science and will be testing within the next week. Be on the look out for a study guide to come home and help us do our best on the test.
We continue to work on geography and map skills. We are just beginning to study the regions of the United States looking at how they are alike and different from one another.
