Dear Parent,

This month's Scholastic Book Clubs order is due Friday, January 13th. To place your child's book order, fill out the order form on the flyer and return it to me with your payment, or follow these simple steps to order online:

1.  Register at Scholastic Book Clubs' secure Web site (www.scholastic.com/bookclubs), and create your own User Name and Password.
2.  Enter the onetime Class Activation Code above to link you to our classroom.
3.  Choose the books that you would like to order.
4.  Pay for your selections using your credit card.
5.  Submit your order to me online.

And remember, if you prefer to send your orders to me by returning the order form to the classroom, I'll be happy to place your order as always.

Mr.H-A's Class Update

In math we're learning algebra,and in science we're learning about temperature and heat energy.  We did an experiment and now we're going to do made up ones in groups.  There are 9 groups and the classmates choose 1 through 9.  And then they do their one experiments with materials that they have picked.  In social studies we're learning about human features.  Written by Cameron

Halloween Parade

In case you're wondering what's on Mr. H-A's head...  The 4th grade teachers dressed up as idioms.  He was the straw that broke the camel's back.

4th Gr. Swimming

Letters are coming home today regarding the 4th grade swimming unit.

Our class' swim lessons will be taking place November 28-December 9th.

Halloween Parade

We will be having our classroom Halloween party and the Roosevelt Costume Parade on Monday, October 31st.  Our class party will begin after last recess (2:35pm) and the parade will begin at 2:40pm.

As a reminder, costumes may be put on during last recess which begins at 2:15pm.  Parents are welcome to come and assist.  Costumes should not be gory or bloody and no weapons are allowed.

Parents may watch the costume parade from the hallway by the media center or the lower elementary playground area.

Thank you to those of you who have been ordering books through our classroom Scholastic Book orders.  We added 22 books in September and 13 books in October to our classroom library.
